Which Quick-Step floor performs best in combination with underfloor heating?

All Quick-Step floors are compatible with underfloor heating. But which flooring type performs best: Laminate, Parquet or Vinyl?

Underfloor heating requires a floor with a low thermal resistance, as the heat must be able to pass through the floor. The higher the thermal resistance, the longer it will take your floor to warm up and the less efficient your underfloor heating will be. The maximum permissible thermal resistance (R) is 0.15 m²K/W. When installing underfloor heating, it is important to include an insulating layer beneath it which insulates better than the chosen floor type. In this way, the heat will always take the path of least resistance, which is through the floor.

Quick-Step Vinyl floors have the lowest thermal resistance and transmit heat evenly. So, if you’re looking for the best performance with underfloor heating or cooling, they’re your best choice. However, our Laminate and Parquet ranges offer suitable solutions as well.
